It’s only been two months since we acquired Storify, and now the Livefyre family is about to grow even bigger! We are excited to announce that we’ve acquired one of the top social application providers, Realtidbits.

Realtidbits shares our mission of powering social everywhere and providing companies with the most innovative real-time applications, so it seemed like the perfect fit to join our team. The company currently powers real-time engagement across 180 million page views a month, with customers including The CW Network, Thomson Reuters, Dow Jones Local Media Group, The Irish Times and The Toronto Star. Their suite of real-time applications includes Comments, Forums, Social Bridge, Pinboard and Image Galleries.

They have also built a fantastic analytics product, which we plan to integrate into StreamHub and offer to our over 550 Enterprise customers. It tracks real-time engagement, including replies, likes, social sharing and custom metrics, through integrations with popular analytics packages including Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics and Mixpanel. The product has been put to good use, as it is currently analyzing over 2 billion interactions and social shares around the world. This is great news for all of our customers, since we will now be able to provide robust analytics along with our market-leading applications.

So what does this mean for Realtidbits? In the next few months, we will migrate users of Realtidbits’ Comments, Forums, Gallery and Pinboard products over to Livefyre. All members of the Realtidbits team will be joining Livefyre as part of the product, engineering and design teams, with a focus on Analytics. We will also be opening a San Diego office and plan to expand hiring in that region, so if you want to work for the leading social conversation and curation provider check out livefyre.com/jobs!
